I’m so lucky I didn’t grow up in the South

******* read the original post if you want*****

you have GOT to be one of the most closed-minded (or is it simple?) people I’ve encountered (and this from *gasp* a southern conservative).

the fact you post this with such a nasty, sweeping generalization in the headline says much more about you than this story that shocks you so says about southerners or anyone else. I suggest you leave your neighborhood a little more often and learn a little something about the rest of the world. Your ignorance is showing.

i didn’t think they were ignorant up north?  i thought that was just us.  you know - we’re racist, anti-semitic, crazy bible thumpers.  we can’t read or write.  we shop at wal-mart and have gun racks and are everything that’s wrong with america.

we even arrest highly esteemed black professors in their own homes! oh wait. no.  that was at harvard. woops.

it’s amazing we ever learned (learnt?) to tie our own shoes without some yankee coming down to show us how, huh?

shoes? i don’t wear no shoes!
