Check the recent GOP money numbers at opensecrets - he’s far and away in the lead of those still in the race. Politics is still feeling out its way online, admittedly, but while advertisers are trying to figure out how to get their name out in “a series of tubes,” RP figured out how to get the money in - even if it hasn’t translated into votes yet.

And besides, which Ad Exec is going to tell the candidates to give up on TV ads and go online when they still get a cut of that televisual pie? Bigger money into the little box, bigger pay in the Ad Man’s pockets.
