POLICE were sent to New Yorks John F. Kennedy International Airport today to quell a boisterous crowd of Delta Airlines passengers. A fight broke out between passengers waiting at the busy Delta terminal, but no one was injured before police arrived, NY1 reported. Northeastern airports in the US are ramping up today for holiday travel after snowstorms over the weekends brought air travel to a halt. The incident arose after some passengers were booted from an overbooked Haiti-bound flight, Newsday reported. Delta’s website shows that its scheduled 9am flight to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, departed nearly two hours late.
